GOST 28759.2-90 is a Russian standard,which specifies the steel flat welded flanges of vessels and apparatus. Design and dimensions;
This standard applies to steel flat welded flanges for vessels and apparatus with a diameter from 400 to 4000 mm, under a pressure condition from 0.3 to 1.6 MPa, at a working medium temperature from minus 70 °C to plus 300 °C, intended for operation in the chemical, petrochemical, oil – refining, and other industrial sectors, and is aimed at ensuring the interchangeability and standardization of vessel and apparatus flanges.
The application limits of flanges depending on the material and temperature shall comply with GOST 28759.1.

CONSTRUCTION AND DIMENSIONS
1.1 This standard specifies the constructions of flanges of the following types:
1 — with a raise face
2 — with a recess;
3 — with a tongue;
4 — with a tenon;
5 — with a boss;
6 — with a smooth sealing surface, clad with a sheet of corrosion – resistant steel;
7 — with a recess, clad with a sheet of corrosion – resistant steel;
8 — with a tongue, clad with a sheet of corrosion – resistant steel;
9 — with a tenon, clad with a sheet of corrosion – resistant steel;
10 — with a boss, clad with a sheet of corrosion – resistant steel;
11 — with a smooth sealing surface, surfacing – welded with corrosion – resistant steel;
12 — with a recess, surfacing – welded with corrosion – resistant steel;
13 — with a tongue, surfacing – welded with corrosion – resistant steel;
14 — with a tenon, surfacing – welded with corrosion – resistant steel;
15 — with a boss, surfacing – welded with corrosion – resistant steel.
