A flange is a piping component that provides a secure, leak-proof connection between sections of pipe or between pipes and other equipment (valves, pumps, vessels). Flanges feature a flat, machined face with bolt holes that allow two mating flanges to be fastened together with a gasket in between, ensuring a reliable seal under pressure.
