What is a Cushion Tee?
A cushion or target tee is a 90-degree elbow fitting with a “cushioned” or solid end. our cushion/target tees are manufactured from solid B/W tee forgings to meet ASME B16.9 dimensional requirements. Since they are made from solid tee forgings, any wall thickness is available.
True Seamless Target/Cushion Tees
- Seamless Target/Cushion Tees: We manufacture Seamless Target Tees with one solid end of the run. This design provides a 90-degree flow path through one end and out the branch. Ideal for applications with high flow dynamics, these tees are commonly used in erosive flow conditions like those found in topside or subsea manifolds in offshore oil and gas production. Target Tees are typically provided with center-to-end dimensions based on ASME B16.9 standards for buttweld tees in new piping installations. We can also manufacture them to replace elbows in existing systems, offering improved flow efficiency.
