JIS G3454 Carbon Steel Pipe Specification STPG 370/STPG 410

JIS 3454 Carbon steel pipes for pressure service

This standard is a Japanese Industrial Standard developed based on ISO 9329-1 issued as the first edition in 1989 and ISO 9330-1 issued as the first edition in 1990, with changes made to the technical content.

Note that in this standard, the sections underlined with a solid or dotted line are items where the corresponding international standards have been modified. An explanation of these modifications is provided in the list of changes and shown in the annex JB.

Scope of Application

This standard specifies carbon steel pipes (hereinafter referred to as “pipes”) used for pressure piping at temperatures of approximately 350 °C or lower. However, it does not apply to carbon steel pipes for high – pressure piping [1]. This standard is applicable to pipes with an outside diameter ranging from 10.5 mm (nominal size 6A or 1/8B) to 660.4 mm (nominal size 650A or 26B).
